WellSpring has named David Q. Maurer II, a resident of Bargersville, as its new Director of Community Engagement.
Maurer graduated from Franklin College in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in business. From 1984-2012, he worked in the health and life insurance industry as a marketing representative. He has also done marketing and not-for-profit consulting work for Advanta Clean, the Center Grove Community Newsletter, One Mission Society, and the Indiana National Guard.
“As Director of Community Engagement of WellSpring, my desire is to inform and educate the Martinsville and Morgan County community, of the needs that exist within the underserved population of our region and how WellSpring addresses those needs. I look forward to having an impact, not only by coming alongside WellSpring and the homeless families we serve but also to break the cycle of poverty that exists within our communities”, Maurer stated.

Maurer has previously served on board for Greenwood Christian Academy, Facilitators International, and CareNet of Johnson County. He also has had involvement with the Bargersville Economic Development Committee, the Bargersville Planning Commission, Franklin Rotary Club, Franklin BET Networking Group, and serves on the Deacon Board and Mission Committee at Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve alongside Dave”, stated WellSpring Executive Director, Bob Goodrum. “I have known Dave for more than 40 years and have a great amount of respect for him and the talents he brings to our team”.
