The two organizations will join other tenants at The Main Connection, a brand-new development from Molin Properties.
MARTINSVILLE – Visit Morgan County and the Greater Martinsville Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce their impending move. The two organizations will join existing tenants Boys & Collins Financial Group, Agresta, Storms & O’Leary and Integrity Mortgage in the newly redeveloped former MSD of Martinsville Administration Building, now known as The Main Connection.
Both organizations are relocating from their current office space on Morgan Street inside the BMO Harris Bank building. President of the Greater Martinsville Chamber of Commerce, Jamie Taylor, said “While we appreciate all that BMO Harris Bank has done for us at our former location over the last 13 years, we are looking forward to the new opportunities that this move will bring to the Chamber. Along with better visibility and convenient on-site parking, we will have the ability to host more workshops, classes and other events. We also believe that this development will have a positive impact on our community and we are thrilled to be part of it.”
“We’ll be moving in this week,” says Visit Morgan County executive director Tosha Daugherty. “We are very excited to have a Main Street address for the Visitors Center, making it easy to locate for those unfamiliar with the area. We hope to be a first stop for visitors exiting from the new Interstate so we can guide them into the downtown area and beyond for locally owned dining, shopping and unique area attractions.”
Located in the 400 block of South Main Street, the new facility will also be home to a small conference room. The new development comes to the community courtesy of Molin Properties, owned by local residents Doug and Paula Molin, who also recently redeveloped two downtown properties – a Victorian home on East Washington Street and the building on Main Street that now houses the offices of Hilliard Lyons and two upscale residential apartments.
Visit Morgan County promotes all of Morgan County as a travel destination in order to grow the economic impact of the tourism industry and support local business.
The Greater Martinsville Chamber of Commerce represents and serves the business community, promoting economic and community development through member leadership and education.
