By | January 7, 2018

United Way of Central Indiana and the Internal Revenue Service are partnering again this year to bring the Indy Free Tax Prep program back to Morgan County. Indy Free Tax Prep is also known as Volunteer Income Tax Assistance or by the acronym VITA. VITA offers free tax preparation for those qualifying with a household income of $66,000 or less. The program will offer in-person tax filing services (by appointment only) at First Christian Church in Martinsville, beginning in February 2018.

United Way is looking for volunteers to become tax preparers or greeters for VITA so that more taxpayers may be served in Morgan County. To become a volunteer visit, indyfreetaxprep.com; or contact Jan McGaha at the Morgan County office of the United Way of Central Indiana at 317-584-3674 or jan.mcgaha@uwci.org

A training will be offered at Ivy Tech Mooresville on Thursday, January 11 from 5-7pm. Please RSVP to jan.mcgaha@uwci.org Thank you!
