Youth Connections received the 2018 Indiana Safe Place Program award from Indiana Youth Services Association. Chief Operations Officer, Robin Donaldson presented the award on Friday, December 7 at the IYSA annual meeting.

Donaldson said, “The Indiana Safe Place Program award is presented to the Safe Place agency excelling in quality program implementation in the areas of outreach, youth served, community support and involvement and program evaluation.  The agency selected surpasses the implementation standards of National Safe Place Network, provides consistent quality services to young people and is a respected and well-known program in the service area.”

Youth Connections demonstrated their commitment to the Safe Place program by expanding their service are despite significant loss of funding.  Their tireless efforts to educate their communities about Safe Place has resulted in high community buy-in and support.  Even with challenges in place, this agency met and surpassed the Safe Place outcomes established for the Indiana programs.” Donaldson said.

Youth Connections has been serving youth between ages 7-17 in Johnson, Morgan and Brown Counties since 1976 with their six unique programs.
