21 North Eatery + Cellar is seeking an enthusiastic Bar Chef to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Great bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Compensation includes salary and tips.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare both alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
  • Mix ingredients and prepare classic and innovative cocktails.
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences to make recommendations.
  • Offer recommendations for pairings with our food menu.
  • Serve wine and draught or bottle/can beer.
  • Collect money along with the use of our POS system.
  • Arrange bottles and glassware for an attractive display.
  • Slices and prepares fruits and garnishes for drinks.
  • Monitor consumption of alcohol by guests.
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace at all times.

Requirements & Expectations:

  • Must be available to work a full-time schedule ranging from 40-50 hours a week. Days, Nights, Weekends and events as required. Restaurant is open 5 days a week.
  • Must have a minimum of two years bartending experience working in upscale dining environments.
  • Must possess a valid employee alcohol permit.
  • Excellent communication and resolving problems under pressure.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as requested by management.
  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • Must be a minimum age of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
  • Requires strong organizational skills.
  • Must always present a hospitality mentality, warm and welcoming.
  • Extensive knowledge of craft beer, wine, and cocktails.
  • Willingness to be creative and innovative when mixing drinks, providing a fun customer experience while observing the art of craft drinks being made.
  • Must be willing to receive feedback and criticism from patrons or management and use that to develop positively.
  • A passion for continuing education with craft drinks and a willingness to receive continued training.
  • Must be willing to work independently and as a team, meeting and exceeding team expectations.
  • An energetic personality is a must!
  • Must meet grooming standards as well as arrive to your shift each day in the proper restaurant provided attire.
