A note from Suepinda Keith:

Although the Morgan County South Central Community Action Program (SCCAP) aka “CAP” office is currently closed to the public I wanted to remind you that Jennifer and I are both working in the office as much as possible and still accepting applications for Energy Assistance.   As of now we can accept applications to May 15th.  With that said, as many of you are aware Governor Holcomb has placed a moratorium on utilites (Exec. order 20-05 section 5A) and while utility companies cannot shut service off, when the public health emergency ends many of our Morgan County residents will not be able to pay their utility bills.  We encourage all of you to refer any and all families that may need assistance with their utility bills to contact me directly at skeith@insccap.org.  We can send paper applications via mail.  Anyone interested can also go to our website at www.insccap.org and fill out an application on line through our EAP Connect or download, print off, and mail to our office a completed application.  They can also fax at 765-342-3460.

We have for the 2019-2020 winter program thus far helped over 800 Morgan County residents.  For those community members that have already applied and received assistance this year please have them contact me as they may be eligible for crisis funding.  Again, skeith@insccap.org.  The average award this year has been between $600-$800.  We anticipate seeing a lot of first time applicants and we are here to help them through the process.  Please feel free to forward this email to any agency in Morgan County that provides assistance.
