Morgan County, Ind. – The Community Foundation of Morgan County (CFMC) aims to enhance the quality of life for current and future Morgan County residents. In 2019, CFMC invested in a countywide survey and outreach initiative that identified hometowns’ priorities, challenges, and opportunities to create healthier, happier communities. In October 2020, in response to stakeholder feedback, CFMC hired a full-time Community Development Officer (CDO) to connect with stakeholders in each of our communities by focusing on advocacy and improving quality of life.
As a committed effort to our local communities, CFMC brings Thrive matching grants to Morgan County nonprofits and civic organizations. Thrive grants aim to empower our communities by improving the quality of life. Projects are intended to support only new, inclusive, permanent initiatives for organizations focusing on social determinants of health (SDOH) such as neighborhood environment, economic stability, education, healthcare, and community involvement. Social determinants of health significantly impact health outcomes, especially for the most vulnerable populations.

CFMC’s mission is to connect donors and their charitable giving with our evolving community needs to enhance the quality of life for current and future generations through impact grantmaking.
The vision of CFMC is to be a philanthropic leader and a catalyst to maximize available resources in our community.
