Martinsville CoderDojo is a local coding/computer programming club for students age 10+. This fun club, hosted by the MSD of Martinsville, meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6-8 p.m. at the CEC (389 E. Jackson St.). Students participate in a variety of activities including coding stories and videogames in Scratch; coding their own virtual reality worlds in CoSpaces Edu; using Merge Cubes, Spheros, and Makey Makeys; and learning text-based programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and C++. Club organizer and instructor, Christa Mathews invites youth over the age of 10 to join her for coding fun, friends, and food! This semester’s CoderDojo sessions occur on first Tuesdays: January 7th, February 4th, March 3rd, April 7th, and May 5th. Please register at bit.ly/martinsvillecodes. If you have questions, please email Mrs. Mathews at christa.mathews@msdmartinsville.org.
