The Morgan County Substance Abuse Council and the Morgan County Health Department are organizing free Narcan training sessions across Morgan County to observe Overdose Awareness Day on August 31. The training sessions will last approximately 30 minutes and will cover important topics such as Opioids and Fentanyl. Attendees will also be taught how to administer Narcan, a medication used to reverse opioid overdoses.
The training schedule is as follows:
10 am at Hope House, located at Life Pointe Church in Mooresville.
Noon at the Morgan County Library in Monrovia.
1 pm at the fairground meeting room in Martinsville.
These training sessions aim to raise awareness about overdose prevention and equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to effectively respond in emergencies.
