The university has earned Military Friendly® status for the past 10 years

Fort Wayne, Indiana – March 15, 2021 – Indiana Tech has been designated a Military Friendly® School for 2021-22 by Viqtory, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) that connects the military community to civilian employment, educational and entrepreneurial opportunities. Military Friendly® is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community.

This year, Indiana Tech was recognized as a Gold Level institution. According to Viqtory, a Gold Level designation indicates Indiana Tech is among those schools that scored within 10 percent of the 10th ranking school in their category. Indiana Tech has been recognized as a Military Friendly® School for 10 straight years.

“Indiana Tech has a long-standing tradition of connecting those who have served our country with tools and resources that will help them move forward in their careers,” said Ryan Ozbun, director of Indiana Tech’s Military & Veteran Services team. “The outstanding professionals in my department take great pride in upholding this tradition and knowing the ins and outs of military education benefits so that our clients get the quality service they deserve.”

Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey response set and government/agency public data sources, within a logic-based scoring assessment. Viqtory measures the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer), and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.

Indiana Tech’s Military & Veteran Services team extends its support to current members of the military, veterans and military spouses, and civilian Department of Defense employees. Learn more at
