LISC’s (Local Initiatives Support Corp) latest round of rural relief small business grants is now open and accepting applications. These grants are available to businesses in communities with 50,000 or fewer individuals (considered rural for the purposes of this opportunity). Currently, applications are being accepted through Jan. 5th and another application period will open Jan. 26 through Feb. 2, 2021. We appreciate you sharing with your networks in rural communities.
As with most grant opportunities, the selection process is very competitive, but generally, the applications can be completed in less than 20 minutes and do not require the applicants to upload documents so it’s certainly worth a shot! Full details, FAQs, and applications can be accessed through the site above. Women and minority-owned businesses with 10 or fewer employees will receive preference in the review process. If a business owner has previously applied for a LISC grant and was not selected, they must submit an application to be considered in this round.
