This year will be our third year holding a Mardi Gras Gumbo Cook-off, and each year we donate the funds collected to a local Morgan County charitable organization. This year, the entry fee for tastings and entry fee for cooking ($10) will go directly to our local Martinsville Red Barn Food Pantry. We are also welcoming canned food and nonperishable food items for donations to take to the Red Barn.

All gumbo dishes must have an ingredient card submitted along with it, and we are asking that all food be brought in crockpots for easy plug-in. You’re welcome to bring along sides of rice, bread, and maybe King Cake, too!
