The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Merit Deputy. Qualified candidates should go to and complete the pre-application. All notifications related to this hiring process will be conducted via e-mail so applicants must maintain an active e-mail account.

All pre-applications should be submitted no later than 4:00 P.M. on June 22, 2022. A complete application and supporting documentation will be required upon successful completion of the first phase.

Merit Deputy Process dates:

June 25, 2022 – Physical Agility Testing and Written Exam [08:00 hrs.]

July 11-15, 2022 – Board of Supervisors Interview [May Include Evenings]

TBA – Merit Board Interviews [Evening]

Previous applicants will be added to this poll of candidates. Applications are maintained on file for a period of 1 year. If you submitted an application with a valid email address, within the last 12 months [June 1, 2021], you will receive a letter (Email) of invitation to participate in the testing stage of this process.

Written and Physical Agility testing will be held at the Martinsville High School Cafeteria, 1460 E. Gray Street, Martinsville, IN 46151. Top scoring candidates will advance to Board of Supervisor Interviews.
