The MSD of Martinsville welcomes newly named safety director Chris Wright

Welcome, Safety Director Wright!

The MSD of Martinsville announces Chris Wright as the Safety Director for the Metropolitan School District of Martinsville. A 1988 graduate of Brown County High School, Chris served in the military and police force for 30 years. During that time, he served as Military Police and as 1^st Marine Division Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Chris has worked at the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Trafalgar Police Department, and the Perry Township Police Department. A certified SRO (School Resource Officer) trainer, Chris is motivated to learn and is well-versed in school safety programs such as Raptor and StopIt, radio coordination, and safety cameras. Chris possesses a K-9 with certifications in finding narcotics through vehicle, building, and open-air searches. The MSD of Martinsville is looking forward to the focus and implementation of student and staff safety.
