RE/MAX 1st Realty in Martinsville, IN has changed ownership and moved locations. RE/MAX 1st Realty managing broker and long-time agent Steve Bright has taken over ownership along with Darrell Cecil, another long-term agent. The two have worked together at RE/MAX 1st Realty since 2009 and purchased the business together this fall. The move to 1209 E. Morgan Street in Martinsville puts them on the main street in town and improves visibility.
“We really hope to improve the presence of RE/MAX 1st Realty with this change of ownership and location” explains Darrell. “We want to increase market share in our service areas and grow the office to the next level while continuing to provide unparalleled levels of customer service to our buyers and sellers.”
RE/MAX 1st Realty currently has 7 real estate agents servicing Morgan and Johnson Counties. With recent changes to area traffic flows, the two are anticipating a positive change to real estate needs as well. “The final leg of construction has begun on State Road 37 and Interstate 69,” says Darrell. “We’re seeing an increase in commercial real estate needs as well as residential. We’re expecting to see an increase in real estate activity over the next 3 to 5 years with an increase in value as well.”
RE/MAX EVP and Managing Director of US Operations, Fiona Petrie says it’s a great time for change. “It’s a crowded real estate market out there and brokers must go above and beyond to stand out from their competition. Forming a dynamic, new leadership team and providing a new office space is not only appealing but shows value to talented agents and eager clients.”
Steve and Darrell each got their start in real estate in 2003 and both have since earned their RE/MAX Hall of Fame award. Steve was voted Local Realtor of the Year and was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award.
