The 68th Safe Haven Baby Box in the nation is going live at the Martinsville Fire Department located at 160 W. Morgan St., Martinsville, IN 46151. The Baby Box will be made available to the public starting on May 19th, 2021 after the community unveiling at 2:00 pm. Thiis is the 59th Safe Haven Baby Box in Indiana. Safe Haven Baby Box Inc. is a non-profit founded by firefighter/medic Monica Kelsey. Kelsey was abandoned as an infant and is committed to installing more Safe Haven Baby Boxes. The organization offers a Safe Haven National Crisis Hotline and is available 24/7/365 and promotes education of Safe Haven laws as part of their mission to raise awareness in communities across America.
