It’s that time of year once again! Normally, we are just a couple weeks out from our State of the City event, held annually in the spring to honor the City of Martinsville and the many individuals, businesses and organizations that contribute to the economic growth and development of our community. However, there has been nothing normal about the last year! Thank you to all those who were so supportive when the Chamber and Rotary had to “pivot” at the very last minute in 2020 to postpone the dinner. After it became obvious that rescheduling an in-person event was not an option, our team came together to reimagine the State of the City, taking the main components virtual.

Fast forward to 2021: Due to the continued uncertainties related to the pandemic, we have been planning another virtual event. We learned a lot last year and are excited to highlight this year’s Outstanding Business Professional, Outstanding Business, and Ruth Rusie Spirit of Service Award recipients and remarks by the Chamber & Rotary leadership in virtual presentations. Mayor Kenny Costin’s State of the City address will focus on the achievements and challenges of 2020, through an interview by Jamin Baxter, Inside Morgan County. The virtual presentations will premiere in late April and our online auction will take place on the Martinsville Chamber’s FB page from April 16th – 25th.

Sponsorships of various levels (See below, please) are available to help support the activities of the Martinsville Rotary and Chamber of Commerce, as well as to provide a contribution to the Mayor’s choice of charitable organization for 2021 – Wellspring. We are also seeking donations of silent auction items for the event. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated!
