In recognition of Mental Health Month (May), the Morgan County Mental Health Task Force is offering FREE Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to inspire communities to achieve mental health wellbeing.
WHEN: May 25, 9 am-5 pm *Please note: You must be able to attend the full day of training and complete a two-hour online course prior to the live training.
WHERE: Morgan County Administration Building, Sadler Room
WHO: The first 30 recipients to register (registration link is also in the attached flyer)
**7 CEUs will be provided for completion of this training.
MHFA is an evidence-based training course that teaches participants to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges and crises. Participants learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and substance use challenges, strategies for helping someone in crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. The program is built on a strong foundation of international research. This interactive training includes case scenarios, group work, didactic learning, and discussion.
