Participating in civic life is necessary to maintain America’s democratic form of government. We all know the basics – legislation is drafted, amended, voted on, and, if the original author is lucky, signed into law. But for those expert advocates, who lobby “in the hallway” at the statehouse for various legislation, there is so much more to how the sausage is made, so to speak!

United Way of Central Indiana presents a new event, “Advocacy in Action,” with a focus on the legislative process, United Way’s public policy agenda, and how every Hoosier can become an essential advocate for any cause — even while sheltering in place during the pandemic. Get the ins and outs of #sessionlife from the voices of those who fight for better public policies for our state.
