Part-time Operations Coordinator Position

Description: This Operations Coordinator position reports directly to the Assistant Director and is responsible for much of the day-to-day operations of WellSpring.

Essential Duties: The following reflects WellSpring’s definition of essential duties for this position, but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

Making sure safety regulations are followed– Fire and Board of Health inspections, safety drills, etc.

Reviewing and approving office and building equipment needs

Working with the Executive Director, housekeeping, and contractors to ensure the building operates in a clean, safe, and efficient manner – ensuring cleanliness orderliness, and safety of the building and grounds

Coordinate and assist with pick-ups.

Manages all food pantry operations including supervision of volunteer drivers and stockers, distribution of food, ensuring all products are not expired, cleanliness of pantry, preparing and submitting monthly reports to Gleaners, recording freezer and cooler temperatures, ordering food and ensuring families have the healthiest choices available to them.

Required Qualifications:

Employment Eligibility Verification

Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and good driving record

Successful completion of background screening

CPR/First-aid training- WellSpring will provide

Strong ability to effectively resolve and cope with immediate crisis situations

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

The ability to multi-task and apply critical thinking skills

Detail-orientated with strong organizational skills

Proven ability to work independently

Effective time management and communication skills- both written and verbal

Ability to make difficult decisions

Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds

Ability to climb stairs and ladders

Work environment:

You may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be ill, using substances and/or not attentive to personal health and safety for themselves. The employee may experience a number of unpleasant sensory demands associated with the client’s lack of personal care. The employee must be ready to respond quickly and effectively to many types of situations, including crisis conditions and potential hostile states.
