Did you know the State of Indiana can provide Hoosiers with resources needed to secure a job, explore new careers, access free training, or get career advice? Next Level Jobs is part of Governor Holcomb’s Next Level Indiana agenda to continue the positive momentum of our state. Indiana is taking the state’s workforce to the next level with a focus on the high-priority industries and in-demand, high-paying jobs driving Indiana’s 21st Century economy forward.

Two million Hoosiers need additional training to compete in the 21st Century workforce, and there will be over 1 million job openings in Indiana due to retirements and the creation of new jobs by 2025. Whether you’re a Hoosier looking for a better-paying job or an employer looking for a better-skilled workforce, Indiana’s Next Level Jobs initiative can help.

Workforce Ready Grant recipients earn nearly $7,000 more after getting a certificate. Eligible Hoosiers can receive funds from the State of Indiana to pay for tuition and fees from an approved provider to move into a high-priority industry. The Workforce Ready Grant has enabled over 31,000 Hoosiers to be trained for better jobs.

Next Level Jobs provides employers with reimbursements for training their employees through the Employer Training Grant. The Employer Training Grant will reimburse an employer for up to $5,000 per trained employee who is trained, hired, and retained for six months, up to $50,000 per employer.
