More than 60 chamber members and guests attended the Martinsville Chamber February luncheon meeting and annual Third House session, cohosted by the Morgan County Farm Bureau.
Senator Rod Bray – President pro tempore of the Indiana Senate, and Representatives Peggy Mayfield and Craig Haggard were invited to give us an update on this legislative session. Asked by moderator Brian Haggard to introduce themselves, Senator Bray started the session with an introduction and a brief overview of specific legislation and explained the process each proposed bill must go through. Representatives Mayfield and Haggard followed with their introductions and how specific bills that they were working on were faring at this point of the session.
Questions submitted before the meeting and others from audience members were then asked of the legislators, generating a valuable conversation on several issues.
