A huge congratulations to Bruce McKee, this year’s winner of the Kris Gill Servant Leadership (KGSL) Award. For more than 600 consecutive Fridays, he has led TAPS on the Square at 7:00 PM, honoring the lives of Veterans, First Responders, K-9 members, and Rosie the Riveters who have passed.
He is also the heart behind Battle Buddies & Battle Buddies Spouses, creating a space for those facing PTSD or needing support. From helping organize the annual 4th of July Parade to supporting Indy Honor Flight, Bruce lives out the motto of Veterans helping Veterans.
