It’s a new year, and that means Visit Morgan County tourism grant applications are open for 2026. Information is now available on the Visit Morgan County website at visitmorgancountyin.com/grants for all three active grant programs managed by Visit Morgan County to support area businesses, events, and tourism-related attractions. The three grant programs are detailed below:

*Festival & Event Grants are awarded to events that take place in Morgan County, are open to the public, are not political in nature, and will draw attendees from outside Morgan County. There are two levels of these grants, based on the size and visitor appeal of events. Grants can be awarded either $500 or $1,000 for specific one-time events, such as festivals, or for a series of specific events, such as a concert series or theatre season. Awardees must complete a post-event summary after their event is complete.

*Cooperative Marketing Grants are available to tourism-related businesses or events and are a reimbursement-style grant. If your business spends marketing dollars outside of Morgan County targeting visitors, the Cooperative Marketing Grant program can reimburse up to 50% of what you spend, up to $500 per year. (So, if you spend $1,000 targeting visitors, you can get half of that back. If you spend $500, you can get $250 back.)

*TED Grants (Tourism Enhancement & Development) are a larger, more significant grant awarded to assist organizations that invest in quality local projects that meet the Visit Morgan County mission. This program seeks to promote and encourage the enhancement or development of projects that improve the quality of visitor experiences and the quality of life for residents. (Past projects that have received support have included public art projects, facility upgrades, visitor signage projects, and more.) Applications are accepted at any time for these grant opportunities, and funding for each program is available on a first-come, first-served basis until this year’s funds are exhausted.

If you are part of an event or organization and have questions about any of these grant programs, or you aren’t sure whether or not your project would qualify, please reach out to Tosha Daugherty at the Visit Morgan County office, located inside The Main Connection at 460 South Main Street in Martinsville, or via email at visitmorganco@gmail.com.
