League Happenings
April & May were good times at the Field! We hosted Soccer & Kickball. The weather wasn’t always cooperative, but we were happy to have 30 athletes ages 5-54 in Kickball and 20 in Soccer. During our soccer sessions, we run drills and were able to play some scrimmage games this year! Currently, we are in the middle of Spring Baseball and just finished up our very first swim program at the Mooresville park pool called “Water Exploration”. We had a full class with 12 athletes registered. They were asked to each have a caretaker in the water with them and spent some time with warm up activities such as kicking, blowing bubbles, and gliding in the water, and then had free time to “Explore” the water.
We are grateful to the Mooresville Park for pool access for our class and to our team sponsors for baseball: Jones Crematory & Mortuary, Love Muffins Childcare, Correll Realty, and Certified Pipeline. Also, our field sponsors, Economy Heating and Cooling and Powell Indiana.
Additionally, we were in need of some flag pole and flag repair & replacement and had several community groups come together to help us out and make opening day of baseball a success! The American Legion donated a flag and did a flag-raising ceremony. Carl Gilbert with Midway Auctions and Humble Hunt’s Services LLC made the repairs to our flag pole and cord!
We are so blessed!!
