Road project for new school to cause delays through late November

HENDERSON FORD — The Centennial Road Widening Project is expected to take place from Early August through Late November. During construction, crews will complete the project in two phases, with one side of the roadway under construction at a time.
Phase 1: East Side Construction
August Through Mid-September
During Phase 1, crews will construct the east side of Centennial Road. Traffic will be maintained using the open lane while the opposite side of the roadway is included within the active construction limits.
An automated flagging system will allow traffic to travel in both directions through the work zone, one direction at a time. Drivers should expect delays and use caution when traveling through the area.
Phase 2: West Side Construction
Mid-September Through Late November
During Phase 2, crews will shift construction to the west side of Centennial Road. Traffic will continue to be maintained on the open lane while the other side of the roadway is under construction.
The automated flagging system will remain in place to allow controlled two-way access through the work zone, one direction at a time. Drivers should continue to expect delays and follow posted traffic control signage
Centennial Road is expected to remain open during the project, with traffic maintained on one open lane through the active construction area. An automated flagging system will be placed on either end of the work zone to allow traffic to safely travel in both directions using the open lane.
Drivers should expect delays as they wait for traffic from the opposite direction to pass through the work zone. Detour routes are available as an alternate option for those who prefer to avoid the construction area.
