During the Martinsville Chamber’s August 15, 2026 Luncheon, we enjoyed a presentation by Anne McGown. Anne is the volunteer leader who coordinates Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County’s annual youth build with Martinsville High School students. This fall will be the 5th annual Youth Build.
While we attempted to record Anne’s full presentation, technical difficulties prevented a decent recording. However, if we can extract the audio, we will add it to our website.
This video, made by Mia, an MHS student, is an overview of the 2025 Youth Build and highlights the amazing accomplishments of our MHS students as they build a home for a Habitat client family.
At our August luncheon meeting, we also welcomed several new members to the Chamber: Air To Port Logistics, State Representative Peggy Mayfield, SHS Yoga & Wellness, Mind Body Health and Wellness, Martinsville Neighbors Magazine, and Liberty Christian Church. New members unable to attend included Bailey Monument Company, Cecile’s Helping Angels, Diya & Raishaan Holdings, RLH Sealcoating, and Integrity Mechanical.
