East Washington Street to be Closed to Traffic for Halloween Trick-or-Treat ⚠️

East Washington Street from Sycamore Street to Home Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic on Halloween, Saturday, October 31, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. This is to allow for safe movement of the hundreds of Trick-or- Treaters that visit homes along Washington Street. 🍬🎩🎃

❌Additionally, No Parking on Washington Street will be in effect from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM as part of the event.

🚧 Please note that the barricades are in place to protect those out for the evening. Drivers are asked to not drive around the barricades and to follow directions from police officers and volunteers to avoid possible injuries to Trick-or-Treaters.

💡Door-to-door visits should only be made during the hours of 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM and only to houses where the porch lights are turned on. For those who do not wish to have Trick-or-Treat visitors, it is suggested that they simply not turn their porch lights on during the Trick-or-Treat hours.
