The Martinsville Fire Department is seeking applicants for Firefighters/EMTs through June 28, 2024.
Requirements – Firefighter/EMT
All persons seeking employment with the Martinsville Fire Department as a full-time Firefighter/EMT must:
- Have a valid Indiana Driver’s License
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Have a valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) card from within the last year (due at offer of employment)
- Have State of Indiana Firefighter 1/2 Certification
- Have current State of Indiana EMT-Basic Certification
- Have State of Indiana Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations Certification
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age or a maximum of 38 years of age to apply
- Laterals are encouraged to apply

- First Year $56,750
- Second Year $58,500
- Third Year $60,250
- Fourth Year $62,000
- Fifth Year $63,750
*Lateral transfers receive credit for prior years of service
