O’Neill previously served as assistant vice chancellor and will continue leading teams and ensuring students reach their goals
BLOOMINGTON – Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington has named Esthela O’Neill as the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services and Student Success, effective August 19. O’Neill previously served as the assistant vice chancellor. In this new role, she will provide strategic vision and leadership for enrollment services and student support programs.
“I am excited to collaborate with campus leadership to further support our strategic priorities and am honored to work with our exceptional faculty and staff to make a meaningful impact on our students and communities,” O’Neill said. “I look forward to implementing innovative strategies that will enhance the student experience, strengthen our community partnerships, and promote diversity and inclusion at Ivy Tech Bloomington.”
O’Neill has served the College for 11 years. In her role as assistant vice chancellor, she provided leadership to enhance the Ivy Tech student experience, from enrollment planning and management to student support and development, with a focus on quality improvements and services required to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
“As a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet, Esthela has proven to be a collaborative leader with a commitment to student success and providing a student-centered college experience,” Chancellor Erik Coyne said. “We look forward to having her continue her great work in supporting Ivy Tech Bloomington students and the communities we serve.”
O’Neill was a second-generation college student and graduated from Ivy Tech with her Associate of General Studies. She transferred to Indiana University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education. She holds a Master of Public Administration from IU and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Change and Leadership at the University of Southern California.
She was named a 4 Under 40 Award recipient by the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce in 2023 and graduated from Leadership Bloomington in 2020. She is a member of the United Way of South Central Indiana Board of Directors and serves as chair for the United Way Community Impact Committee.
