At the Martinsville Chamber September Luncheon, we welcomed Josh Bell, president & CEO & Anna Wooden, Marketing Guru, with Indiana Alarm, our newest Chamber member. Martinsville will serve as a satellite office to their main office in Indy.
Thanks to Michelle and her team at Chick-fil-A Plainfield for providing a great lunch and to all those who took the time to join us!
Chancellor Erik Coyne gave an entertaining and informative presentation highlighting some of the many programs and initiatives offered by Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington.
Ivy Tech has the resources, focus, and flexibility to meet students where they are and walk with them to where they’re going. Did you know that they have 45 different programs? In addition to offering welding classes here in Martinsville and welding and EMT classes in Mooresville, Ivy Tech partners with Martinsville High School to offer AP classes and dual credits. The Chamber continues to work with Chancellor Coyne and his team to determine other classes or programs that might be hosted in Martinsville.
Ivy Tech team members are also available to help entrepreneurs and businesses in many ways and we have had the pleasure of connecting several members to the appropriate Ivy Tech resources.
Thank you to Joyce Poling for arranging for the chancellor’s presentation and Chancellor Coyne for a great presentation. What a valuable asset Ivy Tech is for our community!
