MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces single-lane closures that will impact State Road 39 in Morgan County during daytime hours.

Beginning on or after Tuesday, April 1, crews will have single-lane closures in place on S.R. 39 between S.R. 42 and S.R. 142. This will allow crews to patch the pavement along this stretch of roadway safely.

Work is expected to last until mid-May but is weather-dependent and subject to change. INDOT encourages drivers to use caution while traveling through this and all work zones.

About Buckle Up Phone Down
Buckle Up Phone Down is a safety initiative adopted by the Indiana Department of Transportation in late 2023. Unrestrained motorists and passengers, as well as distracted driving continue to be contributing factors in fatal and serious injury crashes on Indiana roadways. Buckle Up Phone Down is one of many efforts to change driver behavior and improve roadway safety across Indiana. The actions are simple: when you get into a vehicle, buckle up. If you are the driver, put the phone down. Every trip. Every time. Learn more and accept the challenge at BUPDIN.com.
