Mooresville Police Dispatch and Morgan County Public Safety Dispatch have combined efforts to offer 3-1-1 calling for non-emergency law enforcement requests by cellular/mobile callers in Morgan County, effective today.
The 3-1-1 feature provides an alternative for mobile/cellular callers to reach the two dispatch centers in Morgan County without needing to dial a 10-digit number. Landline callers will still need to dial the complete 10-digit number for the respective dispatch centers. While 9-1-1 will still be used for emergency calls, 3-1-1 offers the public a streamlined process for reporting non-emergency issues.
