Did you know that one in five Americans will experience a diagnosable mental health condition this year? In Morgan County, 20% of adults report frequent mental distress, 32% report feelings of loneliness, and 23% report they lack social and emotional support.

May is Mental Health Month, dedicated to prioritizing our well-being and promoting open conversations about mental health. The MCMHTF, a collaborative group of 100+ individual members and 60+ organizations working to assess and address the mental health needs of our communities, recognizes the importance of mental health and its impact on our personal and professional lives.

As part of the MCMHTF, the Kendrick Foundation invites you to join us for an empowering and insightful session designed to promote resilience, understanding, and a healthier work culture through trauma-informed practices.
Presented by: Liz Stirn, LCSW and Kelsey Balch, LMHC

Recognizing the effects of trauma in the workplace helps create a culture of empathy, reduce burnout, and strengthen team dynamics across every level.

In this session, you’ll learn:

  • The basics of trauma and its effects on behavior and performance
  • Key principles of trauma-informed care
  • Practical tools for cultivating safety and trust in your work environment
  • Strategies for supporting both employees and colleagues with empathy and effectiveness

Please invite a friend or colleague who might be interested in learning more about the impact of mental health on our personal and professional lives, and join us on Friday, May 16th.

Lunch will be provided by our newest Chamber member, Sgt. Pepper’s Chicken, for just $10. Who doesn’t love Sgt. Pepper’s?

Donations of door prizes are appreciated and provide great exposure for your business or organization.
