Bradford Woods is excited to welcome Tabitha Freeman as its new Director. A strategic, mission-driven leader with more than 12 years of executive and educational leadership experience, Tabitha brings a passion for serving others, building meaningful partnerships, and creating opportunities that positively impact communities. Throughout her career, she has successfully led organizational operations, managed multi-million-dollar budgets and grant portfolios, developed high-performing teams, and fostered collaborative relationships that support long-term growth and sustainability. Most recently serving as Chief Operations Officer (COO) for INcompassing Education, she previously served in executive leadership roles as Assistant Superintendent, Curriculum Director, Principal, and Grant Administrator in the PK–12 public education sector.

As Director of Bradford Woods, Tabitha is committed to strengthening the connection between Indiana University’s outdoor center and the Morgan County community. She believes Bradford Woods is not only a place for transformative educational experiences but also a community resource where individuals of all ages can connect with nature, recreation, and one another.

One of her primary goals is to deepen community engagement by building strong partnerships with local schools, families, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and community leaders throughout Morgan County. In the coming months, Bradford Woods will host a variety of events designed to welcome the community onto its beautiful campus, including community brunches, open gate days, and a community 5K in partnership with the YMCA of Morgan County. These opportunities are intended to showcase all that Bradford Woods has to offer while inviting the community to experience its scenic setting, innovative programming, and longstanding commitment to serving people of all abilities.

Tabitha believes meaningful partnerships are at the heart of Bradford Woods’ future. By opening its gates to the community, she hopes to create new opportunities for schools, families, organizations, and businesses to connect, collaborate, and discover the many ways Bradford Woods can serve as a resource for outdoor education, leadership development, recreation, team building, and lifelong learning.

She is also quick to recognize that Bradford Woods’ greatest asset is its exceptional team. “I am honored to work alongside such a talented, passionate, and dedicated staff,” she says. “Their commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and life-changing experiences is what makes Bradford Woods so special. Together, we look forward to welcoming our neighbors, building lasting partnerships, and ensuring everyone feels at home when they visit Bradford Woods.”

Whether you’re a school, nonprofit organization, business, family, or community member, Tabitha invites you to visit Bradford Woods during one of the upcoming community events and experience firsthand all that this remarkable place has to offer. She looks forward to building lasting relationships throughout Morgan County and ensuring Bradford Woods is a place where education, adventure, inclusion, and community come together for everyone.
