Hello Martinsville!
My name is Angela Kidd, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new publisher of Martinsville Neighbors Magazine. While many of you may have seen the magazine in your mailbox over the years, I want you to know that this publication is entering an exciting new chapter, and I’m thrilled to be leading it.
From day one, my vision has been simple: to make Martinsville Neighbors more than just a magazine. I want it to be a true reflection of our community where we celebrate the people, businesses, nonprofits, schools, and organizations that make Martinsville such a special place to call home.
Going forward, you’ll see me out in the community more than ever before. Whether it’s attending local events, volunteering, partnering with nonprofits, supporting Chamber members, or simply getting to know the incredible people who live and work here, my goal is to build meaningful relationships and tell the stories that deserve to be shared. I believe that when we support one another, our entire community grows stronger.
One question I’m asked frequently is why Martinsville Neighbors isn’t delivered to every neighborhood in town. The answer is simple: our publication is funded entirely through the support of local business sponsors. As additional businesses choose to partner with us, we’re able to increase our print circulation and deliver the magazine to even more homes. Expanding our reach is one of my biggest goals, and every new sponsor helps make that possible.
Supporting local businesses is at the heart of everything we do. Our sponsors aren’t just advertisers, they’re investing in a publication that connects neighbors, highlights community stories, and strengthens our local economy. My mission is to help those businesses thrive while creating a magazine that residents genuinely look forward to receiving each month.
I care deeply about Martinsville and the people who make this community so special. Together, I believe we can continue growing a publication that informs, inspires, and brings neighbors together one story at a time. Thank you for welcoming me into this role, and I look forward to meeting many more of you in the months ahead.
