Melissa has been practicing for over 30 years. We focus on individuals and small businesses. Melissa owns several small businesses, so she understands the challenges small business owners face. Her passion is to help other small business owners succeed. Over the last 15 years, she has created a niche in working with small businesses. We don’t take on large corporations so that we can focus more on our clients’ individual needs.

You know, we know that understanding accounting, taxes, and payroll is hard. And boring. We always say accounting is an industry—after all, that’s how we make our living. We think our clients should do what they do best and spend their time earning money rather than wasting it studying tax law or figuring out how to calculate payroll. We say leave that stuff to us and we’ll handle it for you—when the time comes. Now there is a time when clients have to do some of this stuff themselves because they can’t quite afford to have someone else do it for them. We don’t try to sell services to our clients that they don’t need or can’t afford—we’ll tell you when you have to do it yourself.

Our motto is that we don’t like to give the government any more money than they deserve. So our goal is to keep our clients’ tax liability as low as possible while still staying compliant with all laws. Melissa is great at thinking outside of the box and looking for creative ways to keep money in our clients’ pockets rather than sending it to the government where it gets spent in ways we don’t like!
