Biography
Mission
The Mission of Art Sanctuary is to educate, encourage, and stimulate interest in the fine arts and crafts for all ages in Morgan and surrounding counties, including the underserved and diverse populations, by:
• Serving as a cultural presence and forum for engaging the community in the arts;
• Providing affordable life-long learning opportunities through cultural enrichment, education, exhibition, and special events;
• Offering affordable studio and exhibition space to artists for both educational purposes and the practice of creative artistic endeavors.

We operate an art gallery where from time to time various shows are presented.
We provide resident artists studios where artists work in their chosen art field, sell their art, and give various kinds of art classes.
We offer banquet and reception hall rentals. Available for rent are two major areas – the gallery and the dining hall. The gallery is perfect for weddings, wedding receptions, meetings, social functions, family reunions, etc. The dining hall has a complete kitchen, stage, and a very large dining area available. The Art Sanctuary has tables and chairs available.

Notes
Arts & events center in downtown Martinsville featuring multiple art galleries and twenty art studios. The Art Sanctuary also offers large rooms available for weddings, meetings, and group events.
The building is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with monthly art shows, open studios, and classes.
