For a decade, the Martinsville Youth Development Center (MYDC) has provided a safe and supportive place where local students can learn, grow, build confidence, and develop skills that help shape their future. Through after-school programs, homework assistance, mentorship, fitness activities, and life skills education, the organization has become an important resource for many young people in our community.

This year, the center faced a significant challenge when its aging heating and cooling system reached the end of its life. Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment is essential to the programs and opportunities MYDC provides, making replacement of the system a critical need.

Community partners stepped up to help make the project possible, including nearly $18,000 in donated labor and installation support. Home Bank was honored to contribute more than $27,000 toward the effort and support MYDC’s continued investment in local youth. We’re grateful for the work MYDC does every day to make a difference in the lives of young people throughout our community.
