The Morgan County Fair will be celebrating 75 years at their present location and we have planned some special events to commemorate this anniversary. One of these is an Old Tyme Hymn Sing. We will be holding congregational singing of all those favorite hymns which have inspired us in our churches for so many years. Essentially we will be holding an old-time tent revival (minus the sermon) with just lots of songs of praise and fellowship.
The event will be held at the Morgan County Fair Free Stage Sunday, July 7 beginning at 4 pm. JB O’Neal will be our song leader and Keith Gray our accompanist. Pastor Luke Jackson will provide us with a blessing and we will be off and running for 90 minutes of singing together. Bleacher seating will be provided but you may wish to bring a lawn chair because we are hoping for a crowd.
Please come and join us as we fill the fairgrounds with all those wonderful melodies which have enriched us over the years. I have attached a flyer which you may post or distribute. Mark your calendars and come out to the county fair and enjoy all that Morgan County has to offer…..each other.
