"How does the Morgan County Judicial Center impact our city?" This is the first question that was drawn out of the fishbowl at the recent Martinsville State of the City Dinner, hosted by the Martinsville Chamber & the Martinsville Rotary.

We are excited that not only does this Morgan County initiative keep 300 jobs here in The City Of Martinsville, Indiana, but moving the courts and all associated offices to the new complex will meet the critical needs that cannot be met at the current courthouse. This will also free up parking for shoppers and visitors downtown.

After listening in on Kenny Costin Mayor of Martinsville's response, you can learn more about the county initiative here: https://martinsvillechamber.com/a-work-in-progress… #martinsvilleindiana

    Vote for WellSpring!!

Thank you to all who have voted and shared! Please continue the effort!! Voting ends Sunday. You can vote every day from every device you have!! If you have trouble, restart your phone. If that doesn’t resolve the issue turn off your wifi then refresh your browser and turn back on. If you have issues: Try to change your network from Wi-Fi to cellular or vice versa

Here’s a why we do what we do and why we need your help. The shelter is always full, so sometimes we can’t provide housing, but we do provide hope and outreach. The couple below inspired WellSpring to start building 2 SROs, Sleeping Rooms Only, for those in immediate need. WellSpring would love to expand our footprint with another building to turn into housing, but until then, we continue to do what we can.

This couple came into WellSpring in September 2022, down and out. They both struggle to read and write, so we sat down with them to fill out their service forms. They told us they sleep on the ground, in an alley behind a local restaurant. Both were in desperate need of showers and they wanted to wash their laundry (all kept in trash bags). It was a privilege to be able serve them. After starting their laundry, they both picked out groceries from Gunner’s Pantry, they received plastic utensils for eating the food they received (and a hand crank can opener for the cans of food that don’t pop open), each of them was gifted a handmade sleeping mat and a new soft blanket, toiletries, and backpacks for their personal items. They showered and they put on freshly laundered clothes, and (above all) they were given a sense of hope and encouragement!
    This.Is.Love.

Tagging with friends for maximum exposure. Thanks to those of you who have been voting daily!! Feel free to delete if you don’t want it on your page. I am not above being intrusive to support our residents!
