Recently, the Greater Martinsville Chamber and the Martinsville Rotary Club hosted the 2023 State of the City. As in years past, the dinner was held at the Martinsville High School Cafeteria and featured brief presentations by the two host organizations. Along with the Chamber’s annual award presentation, Mayor Kenny Costin’s State of the City interview, conducted by Jamin Baxter, was featured.
Bryan Jackson, CLU, ChFC Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, once again provided the sound system and background music for the event and professional photos were available, courtesy of Mike Washington, MWPImage.
A delicious dinner was catered by Lisa James and Heavenly Helpings. Throughout the early part of the evening, attendees had an opportunity to bid on a great variety of items during the silent auction.
President of the Martinsville Rotary Club Mark Uebel gave an overview of the club’s community activities and upcoming events, followed by Martinsville Chamber board chair, Darcy Quakenbush, with an update on the Chamber’s initiatives and plans.
Darcy assisted Jamin in presenting and honoring the winners of the Outstanding Business (A Senior Retreat, Adult Day Services) Outstanding Business Professional (Mack Porter), and the coveted Ruth Rusie Spirit of Service (Judy Bucci) awards.
Mayor Kenny Costin’s interview featured in this video highlighted the many accomplishments of 2022, along with his vision for the future of our city and what to expect in 2023.
