MARTINSVILLE, Ind., Nov. 9, 2023 — Continuing our efforts to help close the digital divide and connect people wherever they live and work, AT&T* has expanded our superfast fiber network to serve more residential, small business and farm locations in Martinsville.

This week, AT&T announced new availability of AT&T Fiber to hundreds of customer locations in parts of the city. This new access to connectivity is the result of the $6.3 million collaboration between the City of Martinsville and AT&T to build a state-of-the-art network and deliver AT&T Fiber to more than 5,000 customer locations throughout the city limits.

“This is how it should work – public and private entities combining efforts to improve the lives of Hoosiers,” said Kenny Costin, mayor, City of Martinsville.
The Martinsville Common Council and Board of Works and Safety approved this AT&T Fiber project in September 2022. The network buildout is expected to be complete by September 2024. The expanded network will give more customers access to super-fast internet speeds up to 5-Gigs,1 and you can sign up to be notified when AT&T Fiber is available to your address through att.com/notifyme.

“We are continually working to help close the digital divide by expanding AT&T Fiber and delivering ultra-fast internet that keeps residents, businesses and farms connected,” said Bill Soards, president, AT&T Indiana. “We are committed to investing in the modern, high-speed network infrastructure necessary in today’s economy, and we are also committed to supporting consumers to help remove connectivity obstacles for income-eligible homes.”

AT&T is committed to connecting more Americans to reliable, high-speed internet in several ways, including expanding and upgrading our network and participating in the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP provides eligible households with a benefit of up to $30 a month (up to $75 a month on qualifying Tribal lands2) to reduce the cost of internet service and can be applied to AT&T Fiber, where available. Or use it toward Access from AT&T, offering speeds up to 100Mbps for $0 after the ACP benefit is applied. After confirming ACP eligibility, those who qualify can go to att.com/getacp or call us at 866-986-0963 to sign up for service. Have your ACP application ID handy.
