Now is the time to learn how to control Invasive Autumn Olive!

Join the Morgan County Native and Invasive Plant Partnership at Ravinia State Forest this Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 9:00 am to Noon for a Weed Wrangle! We will meet in the parking lot with the Ravinia State Forest Sign, located across the road from Burkhart Creek Park. (See the map and Google Maps link below)

Never heard of a Weed Wrangle?

Here is the rundown-it’s not a weed rodeo!

  • Join other volunteers to learn about how to manage invasive species. This time, we will teach you how to use basal bark treatment on woody invasives, especially on Autumn Olive.
  • Get your hands dirty wrangling some weeds out of these beautiful woods! Come on, Ravinia Forest is open to the public and could use a little love!
  • Make new friends and connect with other outdoorsy folks! The work is fun when doing it together!
  • All of our volunteers receive a free gift when they attend and participate!

Can’t make it this Saturday? There is still ONE MORE CHANCE to attend a Fall Weed Wrangle! Check out the attached flyer for details!  We hope to see you there!
