County-wide burn ban in effect through September 25th

Morgan County is implementing a county-wide burn ban that went into effect tonight, 9/18/24, at midnight. This county-wide burn ban will remain effective for 7 days.

During the active burn ban period, the following activities are prohibited – campfires/recreational fires, open burning of any kind (except for grills fueled by charcoal briquettes or propane), the burning of debris, and the use of burn barrels for open burning.

This burn ban is being implemented due to ongoing drought conditions.
