BARGERSVILLE, Ind. – Franciscan Health will be hosting a cardiometabolic health discussion, focused on weight-loss medications and wellness on Thursday, November 14 at The Sycamore at Mallow Run Winery in Bargersville from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The new weight loss drugs on the market (such as Zepbound, Mounjaro, Wegovy and Ozempic) have led many to wonder if those medications would improve overall health. Some people may benefit from lifestyle changes alone; others may benefit from making lifestyle changes alongside the medications.
Cardiologist Anthony Bashall, MD, and lifestyle medicine physician Stacey Lockard, MD, will lead the discussion on weight’s role in cardiometabolic health and managing risk for diabetes, heart, kidney and liver disease.
This free event includes: light appetizers, a voucher for one glass of Mallow Run wine, blood pressure screening, heart health risk assessment and a door prize drawing.
The event is free, but registration is required as seating is limited. Register online here.
