The Morgan County Soil and Water Conservation is once again giving away 3,000 tree seedlings! The program is for Morgan County residents or businesses ONLY, and there is a limit of 10 FREE TREE SEEDLINGS per household or business while supplies last.
The easiest and quickest way to order is online at our website: www.MorganCountySWCD.org/freetrees or you can download and fill out the attached order form and return it by mail, in person, or by email to SWCDOffice@MorganCounty.IN.Gov. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FILL OUT ALL CONTACT INFO COMPLETELY, OR YOUR ORDER FORM WILL BE REFUSED.
Tree orders will be collected while supplies last and will be available for pick up in the spring of 2027. PLEASE do not order unless you are sure that you will pick up the trees and plant them. IF YOU ORDERED TREES LAST YEAR AND DIDN’T PICK THEM UP WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION, YOUR ORDER WILL BE DECLINED FOR THIS YEAR. Unclaimed orders can put a strain on our program!
These are healthy young tree seedlings from the DNR Tree Nursery in Vallonia, Indiana.
All Species are native to Indiana and will be 1-3 years old and have bare roots at the time of pick-up, making it easy for them to fit into the seat of your car or in a trunk. A shovel is all you will need to plant the trees since they are small. There are no special tools required!
Please call the office with any questions that you may have! Thanks!
