At the September 16th Martinsville Chamber Luncheon, our featured presentation was “A Work in Progress” by County Commissioner Bryan Collier, County Administrator Josh Messmer, and Principal Architect with DLZ, Eric Ratts. The need for additional, more secure space for Morgan County courts and long overdue renovations on our beautiful historic courthouse has been the topic of discussion for several years. A planning study was completed at the end of 2020 and earlier stages of the plan are now being implemented, while the finer details of later phases are still being tweaked. Amy Bennett, Chamber board member and services team chair, led the meeting as board chair Darcy Quakenbush was on vacation.
