DOWNTOWN MARTINSVILLE IS 'WORTH THE WALK'

Shop Downtown, Collect Stamps, Win Prizes!

The Martinsville Chamber, Visit Morgan County, and the City of Martinsville have partnered to launch the Worth the Walk initiative, encouraging residents and visitors to support downtown businesses during the few months when traffic flow and parking will be disrupted.

Featuring weekly drawings for $50 gift cards and culminating in a $500 grand prize drawing the week after Small Business Saturday, the initiative celebrates the resilience and charm of the beautiful historic downtown.

The Martinsville Chamber is on Facebook! Follow us for updates...

A grateful shoutout to our friends at Meyer Najem! They are making great progress, and we appreciate their extra efforts to ensure the safety of our trick-or-treaters.

Here is the latest (Friday morning) update from project manager Will:

As you’ve probably seen, we are paving the base for Main and Morgan streets today. We are going to stop a little early this afternoon to leave time to make everything safe for potential trick-or-treaters downtown.

We’ll pick back up paving on these two streets on Saturday to wrap those up for striping and signage to come next week.

We’ll also be looking to pave Washington next week, so we’ll be one lane for a couple of days while they stone and pave there. Looking like decent weather next week, so hopefully we can get close to wrapping up!
