WCBK (102.3 FM) and its sister station WMYJ (94.1 FM) are Morgan County’s only FM Radio stations. WCBK has been a staple in Morgan and the surrounding counties since 1967 and plays today’s best country music. WCBK is part of the Mid America Radio Group which is comprised of twelve radio stations across Indiana and is owned by David Keister.

WCBK offers local high school play by play Basketball and Football games and airs coach’s sports shows from a four-county area. WCBK is the leader for local news, sports, weather, and community information and we keep our listeners up to date on it all. WCBK also offers NASCAR racing February through November and has race-related shows that air year round.

WCBK’s listeners are financially-secure, working-class adults with disposable incomes, ages 16 – 68. Our signal reaches all, or most of, fifteen counties in central Indiana and we have listeners that span the entire area.

We tutor and assist with adult literacy and support family literacy programs.

MCCL volunteers tutor adults with literacy needs, provide ESL support, work with basic skills, and assist with HISET (high school equivalency) test readiness. Formed in 2006, MCCL works to increase awareness of the problems associated with low levels of literacy and promote a culture of adult and family literacy throughout Morgan County.

Our mission is to provide shelter and comfort to animals in need on the path to loving lifetime homes while providing vital animal-related services to our community.

Our Humane Society was founded in 1970, by a group of dedicated volunteers, who had a vision and a goal of saving the lives of the animals in our community.

Our location has grown over the years, and at any given time we can house between 150 and 200 animals, split between our shelter and our amazing foster families.

We are a 501c3 non-profit organization that relies on our dedicated staff, our wonderful volunteers and the support of our generous donors.

Our goal is to provide the animals in our community with support and care and loving homes. We prepare them for adoption, we offer spay/neuter assistance, we supply food banks with donations, and we have a strong  TNR and Community Cat program.

Who we are:

Morgan County Substance Abuse Council (MCSAC) provides free programming and skills training to people of all ages throughout Morgan County in an effort to reduce the incidence and prevalence of substance misuse by adults and youth. MCSAC recognizes that substance misuse overlaps into many areas of concern. To address these concerns such as mental and emotional wellness, suicide, stress and human trafficking, MCSAC offers education and resources to Morgan County residents throughout the year.

MCSAC is a connecting agency and resource to other organizations within the Morgan County community. We currently work with all four school districts as well as the majority of afterschool programs and athletic programs within Morgan County school systems. Our youth focused programs include LifeSkills, Positive Action, and the Be the Majority! media campaign.

MCSAC is the Local Coordinating Council appointed by the Governor of Indiana. MCSAC also has the honor of awarding grants to local community organizations that are working hard to combat substance misuse in Morgan County. Grants are awarded in three distinct sectors: prevention, treatment, and criminal justice. These funds are collected through Countermeasure Fees that are ordered and collected by the Morgan County court system. Countermeasure fees can be ordered against any person who is charged and found guilty of a drug or alcohol offense. These grants are awarded on a yearly basis and are open to any community organization that works with combatting substance misuse.
